I had a nice run at Dominick’s yesterday so, I wanted to show you how I get my purchases down with coupons.

 

Here is what I bought:

2 boxes Rice a Roni

2 boxes Kelloggs Rice Krispies Treats

2 boxes Pop Tarts

2 Campbells Chicken with Stars soup

3 V8 Fusion Juice

3 boxes Capri Sun

2 Birds Eye steamfresh frozen veggies

2 Minute Maid OJ

2 6 pk Yoplait Trix Yogurt

12 oz bagged Lettuce

9 oz bagged Spinach

My total was $68.21.  Now, remember, when I shop I am never shopping for what I need for that week specifically.  I am already stocked up on meat so, I didn’t need that.  Fruit I am already good on too.  So, this is a lot of Miscilaneous stuff that I will need…except for the lettuce  and spinach which we will eat this week.

After coupons, e coupons, and free items…I paid $24.33!  That is a 65% saving!  Whoo hoo! 

Here is my thought process: I don’t need capri sun….but I will and the Rice Krispy treats were free + my Dominicks allows coupons on the free items so, even though I didn’t need it…anticipating that I will eventually, I stocked up!  Same with the Krispy treats…don’t need em, we have tons of lunch snacks, but they were a great deals so I got em!  Honestly, I watch my expiration dates….I have enough snacks in the house to supply lunch and mid day school snacks until January.  I will not have to buy snacks at full price for 4 months!  That is awesome….I will continue this the next 4 months to make sure I am stocked through the school year, and so on!\
