Couldn’t be a more perfect week for this to happen in Chicago!  It’s supposed to be yucky and rainy all week!

So, how about FREE admission to the Museum of Science and Industry!  YIPEE!

Summer is here!  Today was my oldest daughters last day of school so, time to start looking for those free and low cost activities to keep summer going!

Starting with my activity for today…raining all day by me and how could I refuse…”But Mom, with grades like these!”.  So, off to Chuck E Cheese!

Activities listed below vary from good report cards to summer reading. 

 

Chuck E Cheese gives your kiddo’s 15 FREE tokens with a report card.  Just bring in that report card and they get the tokens.  Plus, don’t forget to look on the last page of your SmartSource or Redplum for the discount offers!

Pizza Hut:

3 A’s Program:  any child who has 3 A’s or the equivalent thereof, will receive one Personal Pan Pizza and a small soft drink or carton of milk by presenting his or her report card to the manager. This offer is good for Elementary and Middle School students. Dine-in only. Student must be present and the original report card must be presented. Available at participating locations.

Book it Program:  for children in grades K-6 called the BOOK IT!® National Reading Incentive Program. Book it rewards kids for their reading accomplishments with free pizza, praise and recognition. To learn more click here.

Borders has a  Summer Reading Program called “Double-Dog Dare“.
  • Child under 12 can participate by reading 10 books.
  • Fill out this form, and take it to your  Borders store to redeem for a Free BOOK (select titles only)

Summer Reading Program at Barnes & Noble
  • Read 8 books and keep track of them in your “Passport to Summer Reading“,

BOOKWORM WEDNESDAYS ~Showcase Cinemas, Multiplex, Cinema de Lux

Entitles kids to free admission to a select children’s film when they present a book report at a participating Showcase Cinemas, Multiplex Cinemas or Cinema de Lux box office. Accompanying parents or guardians and children under six receive free admission and do not need to submit a book report.

Cinemark Theaters: 

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse – for 10 weeks there will be a new kids movie each week on weekday mornings!  You can buy a punch card for only $5 to get into all 10 movies!!  That’s $.50 per movie!  Ticket prices are the same for adults and children.

Regal Theaters

Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served and are limited to theatre capacity. Oh, and their Free!
